Tutors can use the whiteboard to share materials and collaborate with students during their sessions.
Note: We recommend using Google Chrome on Microsoft, Android, or Chrome devices. You must use Safari on Apple devices. See more information here.
- Start the session.
- When entering the learning environment, your video appears on the left-hand side. The whiteboard is on the right.
Note: Tutors must have their cameras turned on during tutoring sessions. - To lock the whiteboard and prevent students from drawing on it, click the unlocked icon on the whiteboard tab. It changes to a closed lock when the whiteboard is locked.
- To open the whiteboard tools, click the blue pencil in the bottom of the whiteboard screen. Tools include:
- 🖉 Draw: Draw on the whiteboard freehand.
- A Text Box: Choose your text style and tep anywhere on the whiteboard to add a text box
- O🗆 Shapes: Select a shape and click and drag on the whiteboard to draw it.
- ☒ Clear: Clear the whiteboard.

- To share content with students, click the green Lesson Materials icon in the lower right.
- Click the table icon to add conjunction tables:

- Click the function icon to add math formulas:

- Click the blue upload icon to upload files such as:
- Local files from your computer:

- YouTube videos:

- Google Drive links:
Note: Make sure permissions allow students to see files.
- Local files from your computer:
- In the Lesson Materials window, click the file name to add the chosen content to the whiteboard.

- Click the table icon to add conjunction tables:
- To share your screen with students, click the green Share Screen icon in the lower right and choose the sharing option:
- Screen Share: Choose to share your entire screen, a window, or a Chrome tab.
- Whiteboard Cam: Shows your camera fullscreen in a whiteboard tab.
- View Whiteboard Fullscreen: Expands the whiteboard to fullscreen, hiding the rest of the learning environment. Press [ESC] to exit.
Note: To show your camera again in the left column, click the blue Standard Class icon in the top right.
- Keep in mind that younger students may not know how to scroll, so avoid adding too much content to one whiteboard.
- To add additional whiteboard tabs, click + to the left of the current whiteboard tab. You can have up to 6 whiteboard tabs open.
Note: New tabs are unlocked by default.
